13th Five Year Plan Of Coatings Industry: Focus On Reducing VOC

In 2014, the total output of coatings in China reached 16.4918 million tons. Such a huge production of coatings, leads to not only nonnegligible environment pollution and energy consumption, but also millions of tons of VOC emissions to the atmosphere. Reducing the pressure of production and painting process on environment and energy should be a key task of the 13th five year plan. At present, the growth rate of low pollution coatings in China is far lower than that of the total output of coatings in China. In recent years, the proportion of water-based architectural coatings has increased significantly, while the proportion of low pollution coatings is still negative. The promotion of low-carbon environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction can not be separated from the development of coating technology. During the 13th Five Year Plan period, we should encourage and support environment-friendly and resource-saving coatings such as water-based coatings, high solid coatings, solvent-free coatings, light curing coatings, radiation curing, functional new exterior wall external insulation coatings, as well as products and production lines with single line capacity of 30000 tons / year and above. In the process of R & D, production and application of various coatings, many problems have been encountered at this stage, which need to be solved during the 13th Five Year Plan period. For example, the binding water in the drying film-forming process of waterborne wood coatings is not easy to be discharged, which eventually leads to the phenomenon of water absorption of wood, such as burst reinforcement. In the later stage, the technology of cold infrared drying and microwave drying should be popularized to promote the discharge of combined water. China's automotive coating technology has reached or even surpassed the international advanced level, but the main production line that has been put into operation is the solvent based coating production line with medium and low solid content. If all the production lines are changed to water-based production line, it is impractical either for capital investment or for the production line to stop production and sales. In the later stage, the production line can be upgraded and constructed at the same time. On the one hand, the investment in the field of paint utilization rate and paint mist recovery technology will be increased, and the production line of medium and low solid coatings will be improved to high solid coatings. On the other hand, the water-based coating line will be built in parallel without affecting the production, so that the water-based coating line will gradually replace the solvent based coating line. The ship coating construction is mainly spraying, and a small amount of precoating is brush coating process. Due to the huge volume of the hull, the segmented painting process is generally adopted, and finally the hull is closed, which can achieve 80% ~ 95% of the paint completely closed spray construction. However, the painting operation after the whole ship is closed is basically completely open, so the emission reduction must be realized by controlling the VOC content and diluent dosage of the coating. At present, there are some problems in steel structure coating and coating, such as the unorganized VOC emission caused by open-air coating, the high VOC content and diluent proportion caused by solvent based anti-corrosion coating, and the steel needs regular coating maintenance, which lead to a large amount of VOC emission in steel structure coating itself and the coating process During the 13th Five Year Plan period, low VOC coating should be used as far as possible, environmental protection construction method should be promoted, anti-corrosion quality of coating should be improved, and maintenance times of coating should be reduced. In general, the coating industry must promote industrial upgrading through technology upgrading, gradually develop from high pollution and high energy consumption to low-carbon environmental protection, increase investment in research and development of green environmental protection coating technology, improve and upgrade the coating production line that can not be eliminated temporarily, realize VOC organized emission, and improve the coating process to increase the coating utilization rate, Reduce the waste of paint mist and VOC emission.

Environmental Protection And High Efficiency Solution For Wood Products Coating -- Innovative Application Of UV And Waterborne Coatings

In the past 30 years, the furniture industry in China has developed from the beginning to abroad, and has been made in China all over the world; Nowadays, China furniture system is becoming mature, but facing the fierce competition and the changing market trend, the challenges and opportunities faced by furniture manufacturing industry coexist in the new situation. 1. The laws and regulations on VOC emission reduction have been issued successively 95% of furniture manufacturing in China is still using traditional solvent based coatings (such as pupenc). According to 2013, 1.3 million tons of wood coatings are used. The total VOC discharged to the air exceeds 600000 tons, which has caused serious air quality pollution. In recent years, governments at all levels have issued a series of regulations and systems for the transformation and upgrading of painting field, especially for Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta and surrounding areas of Beijing, and also a series of standards for upgrading technology or forced relocation of furniture manufacturing industry. This is an important strategic transformation choice for the whole furniture manufacturing industry. 2. Challenges of rising labor costs In recent years, the whole furniture manufacturing industry has faced with the intensified competition in all aspects at home and abroad. The labor cost of some Southeast Asian countries is only one-third of that of China. However, traditional furniture manufacturers in Europe and America have the advantages of design, brand and painting automation, and the domestic furniture manufacturers have overcapacity and intensified homogenization competition, which eventually leads to the worsening of the industry ecology, It has led to the loss or failure of many famous enterprises in the near future. How to solve the pressure of young labor force no longer willing to engage in high pollution traditional furniture manufacturing and labor cost rising year by year has become a difficult choice for all furniture manufacturing enterprises. 3. Challenges to productivity improvement In recent years, the rapid development of custom home furnishing industry has brought the traditional furniture manufacturing industry how to meet the requirements of terminal quickly. Only by optimizing the design and manufacturing process and improving the coating efficiency can we meet the new market competition demand. 4. Opportunities for applying environmental protection and high efficiency coating technology If a coating scheme can meet the environmental protection, high efficiency (low VOC emission, low physical hazard, can be completed in one day or several hours), it is possible to achieve real industrial upgrading and win new development opportunities in the future competition. The choice of environmental protection coating: the single or combined scheme of water-based, water-based light curing, solvent-free and high solid UV, powder coating and other high solid coatings can achieve low VOC emission; Meanwhile, the high solid UV coating can realize energy saving coating (relative to water-based and powder coating); High efficiency coating: the most advantageous is uvpaint (only a few seconds for one coating). Through the appropriate drying conditions, the above environmental protection coating can also achieve high-efficiency coating.

Industrial Paint The "Center" Of China's Paint Industry

Industrial paint is applied to the protection and decoration of equipment produced by industrial enterprises, such as ships, containers, bridges, gasholders, port machinery, chemical equipment, railway tankers, electric machinery, storage tanks, pipe walls, various steel structures, concrete, etc. With the rapid development of global industry, there are many new requirements for the performance of industrial coatings.         Nowadays, the world's chemical coating industry has to meet new challenges. Therefore, industrial enterprises must grasp the pulse of the development of the world's coating industry and keenly analyze the market trends. Only in this way can we develop new high-tech industrial coatings to keep up with and promote the rapid development of China's industry.         It is reported that the major news of the paint industry in the first half of this year is that the major paint brands have launched an advertising war, which is very lively. However, the real pillar of China's paint industry is the unknown industrial paint industry. It is understood that from January to June 2013, architectural paint accounted for only 29% of the national paint production, while industrial paint is the main body of China's paint industry, accounting for 71%.
